Walz is the 41st governor of Minnesota. He was first elected in 2018 and won reelection in 2022. In 2024, he was the Democratic Party’s vice presidential nominee with then-Vice President Kamala Harris. Prior to becoming governor of Minnesota, Walz represented Minnesota’s First Congressional District, located in the southern part of the state, for 12 years.
