Mazzeo is the author of more than a half-dozen award-winning biographies and works of cultural history including “The Widow Clicquot,” now a major motion picture. Her latest nonfiction book is “The Sea Captain’s Wife” about ship captain Mary Ann Brown Patten, published by St. Martin’s Press. She lives on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.
