Taking on wars, AI and the Epstein class

Saturday, September 26, 2026, 7:30 p.m.

U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna of California joined in 2025 with Republican colleague Thomas Massie of Kentucky to lead the fight to force the release of the Epstein files, in what was broadly seen as the most significant congressional revolt of President Trump’s second term. The California Democrat has become a leading anti-war voice and an outspoken advocate for taxing billionaires and establishing policies that benefit American workers. A former top aide to President Obama on tech issues, Khanna is broadly recognized as one of Congress’ most serious thinkers on AI regulation. He’ll explain why he believes the U.S. should borrow from FDR’s New Deal enthusiasm to initiate “a new economic patriotism.”
