Ziliak joined the State Journal in October 2024 after internships at the Arizona Republic, Chicago Sun-Times and Sioux City Journal. He covers local news, sports and long-term projects. Outside work, he enjoys reading, following Chicago sports teams and swimming in Lake Mendota.
