At the academy, Martinez leads efforts to expand access to adult education, workforce training and economic opportunity. She collaborates with educators, employers and community partners to build career pathways that address regional workforce needs. Before joining the academy, she served as dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Eastern Washington University.
