A specialist in Black theatre and performance, Long, Ph.D., has published in several scholarly forums and is currently at work on a book project about the life and works of Black feminist theatre artist Glenda Dickerson. Long is also a freelance dramaturg with a focus on production dramaturgy, new play development, and audience engagement. He is the dramaturg for Forward Theater’s current production of “Mom, How Did You Meet the Beatles?”
