Eig is the bestselling author of “King: A Life,” about Martin Luther King Jr. He served as a senior consulting producer for the PBS series “Muhammad Ali,” and wrote a biography about the boxer. Eig’s first book, “Luckiest Man: The Life and Death of Lou Gehrig,” won the Casey Award.
