Heinrich prioritizes the well-being of the people who live in Dane County by emphasizing health and racial equity as a foundational element of the department’s work. Prior to joining the department, Heinrich conducted research and managed public health initiatives on the California-Mexico border and in Chicago. She is a former co-president and current board member of the Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards.
