Prior to taking the reins at the Madison Metropolitan School District in 2020, Jenkins served as superintendent of the Robbinsdale School District, a suburb of Minneapolis. Additionally, he has held positions as chief academic officer for the Atlanta Public School System in Atlanta and superintendent of Saginaw Public Schools in Michigan.
