Schimming became chairman of Wisconsin’s Republican Party in late 2022, and is a 30-year veteran of politics and political campaigns, including the most recent one for U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson. From 2015 until early 2019, he was also the chief operating officer for the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority.
