A Madison native, Wikler led the Democratic Party of Wisconsin from 2019 until stepping down in 2025. He has since published a book, “This Is the Plan,” that distills lessons from his experience intended to help Democratic candidates moving forward. Prior to his time as chair, Wikler was the Washington director for MoveOn.org and before that the executive vice president of Change.org.
