McQuade is a law professor at the University of Michigan and was the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan from 2010-2017. She also works as a legal analyst for NBC and held previous positions as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Detroit, law clerk, sports writer and copy editor
