Kinzinger served six terms in Congress representing the northern part of Illinois. As one of only two Republicans on the January 6th Committee, Kinzinger stood against his own party. Shortly after the insurrection at the Capitol, Kinzinger started the Country First movement, intended to find solutions to problems by rejecting “toxic political extremes and the dangerous culture that accompanies it.”
