Hauge has been recognized with more than 80 journalism awards. A regular speaker and mentor at UW–Madison’s journalism school, she studied at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and worked as a Sun-Times Media staff photographer, covering stories from post-earthquake Haiti to Wrigley Field.
